What age is Kubb suitable for?

Kubb is a game suitable for all ages and can be enjoyed by both adults and children – typically from around 6 years old.

How big is the playing field?

What equipment is needed for Kubb?

A complete Kubb set usually consists of:
- 1 King (a larger wooden block, placed in the center)
- 10 Kubbs (5 per team, placed on the baselines)
- 6 Batons
- 4 Corner stakes to mark the field

How is a game played?

- Both teams set up their kubbs on the baselines.
- Teams take turns throwing their batons underhand at the opponent’s kubbs.
- Knocked-over kubbs are thrown into the opponent’s half and placed upright as “field kubbs.”
- Field kubbs must be knocked over first before attacking the baseline kubbs.
- Once all opponent kubbs are knocked over, the team may aim for the king.
- The team that topples the king after all kubbs are down wins.
- If the king is toppled too early, that team immediately loses.

What are the throwing rules?

- All throws must be underhand.
- Batons may not be thrown with a helicopter spin.
