Each team hast an innings while the other team fields and the object of the game is to get the batting team out by either running their individual payers out until all the players in the batting team are out. If a batting player manages to complete a circuit of the pitch by passing all four bases without being out this is classed as a rounder and the player is entitled to bat again the game continues till all the batting side are out, at which point the rounders achieved are noted and the teams switch places.
The team which is batting tries to gain as many rounders as possible by completing a circuit of the pitch and passing all four bases.
